Therapy support for meaningful change.

Welcome

About Starr:

I am a Registered Social Service Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families navigating trauma, addiction, stress, and life transitions. My work has taken place across community settings, housing support, and therapeutic environments, where I have developed a strong, practical understanding of how change happens in real life.

I currently provide counselling in a supervised clinical setting, with a focus on emotional regulation, recovery, parenting, and relational challenges. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and grounded in evidence-informed practices, while remaining flexible to meet each person where they are.

Alongside my professional work, I am a parent and have experienced many of the challenges that come with balancing family life, personal growth, and unexpected transitions. This perspective allows me to bring both clinical knowledge and real-world understanding into my work.

I aim to create a space that feels calm, respectful, and supportive, where people can begin to make sense of their experiences and move toward meaningful, sustainable change.

Who I support:

  • Adults & Teens

  • Parents & Couples

  • People in Recovery

  • Individuals experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, trauma, or life stress

My approach:

Trauma-informed, strength based, practical, compassionate, grounded.
